iProspect, a company of the Dentsu group, announces that it has been appointed as the global media agency for the Zalando brand, one of the top online fashion and lifestyle platforms in Europe.

The decision comes after a competitive tender aimed at consolidating all communication media into a single group of agencies with the ability to accelerate collaboration on the market and the continuity of campaigns carried out at the international level.

In the preliminary stage, aspects such as the global presence of iProspect and the expansion opportunities made available to Zalando through the dentsu network mattered. But the decisive factors in the selection process were the insights, strategy and passion demonstrated by iProspect – a media agency focused on digital solutions -, along with its considerable expertise in brand management and the development of high-performance campaigns.

“With over 50 million active users in territories in the heart of Europe and a highly sophisticated collaborative model in e-commerce and fashion, it was imperative that our ideas provide both simplicity and relevance for Zalando’s media activations,” says Amanda Morrissey, iProspect Global Client & Brand President.

“By understanding the key points of contact with buyers in each market and how they intersect with people’s everyday lives, we managed to show how we can interact more with the relevant audience, to create stronger emotional bonds with customers,” explains Morrissey.

Starting from January 2023, iProspect will be responsible for all traditional, “above the line” planning and media buying activities for the 25 markets in which Zalando operates, including: Romania, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Italy and Poland. In addition, iProspect and dentsu kept the Zalando media account in the seven markets where the brand was already a client of the group, namely Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland and Spain.

The expansion of the collaboration between the agency and the client, who together have won a series of industry awards, will see the media agency work closely with Zalando to help shape the future of retail in the region and beyond.

Ralph Rijks, VP Regional Marketing of Zalando, explains the reasoning that determined the selection of iProspect as an exclusive media partner:

“For us, customers are the focal point of everything we do; we want to be more than simply a platform where they can buy the latest in fashion and lifestyle. The iProspect team truly understood our ambition to be a source of inspiration and a place of interaction with our audience. We look forward to working together to create deeper emotional connections between the brand and our customers.”
