BUCHAREST (Romania), November 24 (SeeNews) – Estonian online transport platform Bolt announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its ridesharing service in Romania to the city of Brasov.
Brasov, in central Romania, is the sixth city in the country where Bolt has launched services, the company said in a press release.
“It is not a random decision; we wanted to reach the center of the country’s most important tourist region in time for the winter holidays. With the presence in Brasov we will also be able to facilitate transportation to and from Poiana Brasov, Predeal, Bran, Rasnov and other tourist destinations in the area at a time when the number of tourists is increasing significantly, “said Cristian Salceanu, Country Manager by Bolt Romania.
Earlier this month, Bolt expanded its services to the northeastern city of Iasi and the port city of Constanta on the Black Sea.
Bolt, formerly known as Taxify, has had a presence in Romania since 2016 and currently operates in Bucharest, Timisoara, Constanta, Cluj Iasi and Brasov.
In addition to passenger transportation services, Bolt also provides electric scooter rental services and deliveries of food and other products in Romania.
Bolt was founded in Estonia in 2013 and currently has over 1 million drivers in over 35 countries and over 30 million registered users.
