I don’t think history repeats itself. At least because stupidity has inexhaustible sources of originality.
But lately, I have been obsessively-compulsively following a statement by Marx (the father of scientific socialism, whose unveiling of the statue in 2018 was attended by the former President of the European Commission, the euphoric Jean-Claude Juncker).
In “Eighteen Owls of Louis Bonaparte”, Marx warns with a famous formula: history repeats itself, first as a farce, then as a tragedy.
Because I don’t see beyond the cage’s graces, I think that Engels’ sponsorship was right: after Băsescu, the farce Iohannis followed.
Examining until 2024, I wonder what the tragedy will be like.
