► In the top quality locations are Sinaia, Poiana Brașov, Predeal, Păltiniș, Vatra Dornei, Albota and Micloșoara
►Interest in optional programs and excursions, so for active tourism, is growing
Despite the restrictions and the introduction of the green certificate for access to accommodation structures, Romanian tourists are interested and book tourist packages for the winter holidays in their own country. DAL Travel offers a “Romania Premium” offer, with other unique tourist programs for Christmas and New Year.
In this sense, Romanian tourists prefer both 4 and 5 star hotels, located mainly in mountain resorts, as well as mansions, castles and guesthouses located in rural areas.
“We are specialized and recognized for the exotic destinations and premium external circuits that we promote. But we also want to promote a unique Romania, as a premium destination. In our country we can find a still untouched nature, well-preserved traditions and customs, excellent gastronomy and high quality accommodation structures. We have decided to introduce premium domestic tourism programs for the winter holidays. The tendency of tourists is to make reservations for the last hundred meters because, due to restrictions, nothing is certain anymore. Therefore, most prefer to wait, to see what changes occur along the way. But in general, these holiday packages can be booked in advance, because most accommodation structures show flexibility at this time “, says Daniela Nedelcu, general manager of DAL Travel agency, one of the most famous tour operators in Romania with tourist products type premium established in 2000 and member of the National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT).
According to DAL Travel consultants, the tariffs did not change significantly compared to previous years, but slightly adjusted taking into account only the inflation rate and the increase in certain expenses. All Christmas and New Year’s Eve packages include festive dinners, various activities and optional on-site excursions.
The most requested holiday resorts and tourist destinations are Sinaia, Poiana Brașov, Predeal, Păltiniș, Vatra Dornei, Albota and Micloșoara. “In addition to the quality accommodation structures on Prahova Valley and Poiana Brașov, our tourists have chosen standard mountain resorts that have developed a lot in recent years, such as Păltiniș and Vatra Dornei or rural tourism areas in Transylvania. As an experienced tourist, who has visited, analyzed, promoted and sold unique destinations around the world, I can tell you that Romania can also be a premium destination, with quality accommodation structures, good services but also top products. . In this sense, we have made a rigorous selection for our tourists, and the hotels, mansions and boarding houses promoted have a very good value for money “, adds Daniela Nedelcu.
For example, at the Rozmarin Hotel in Predeal (4 stars), a Christmas package, which includes 4 nights accommodation, with breakfast and dinner buffet, starts from 1450 lei per person. The New Year’s Eve party at the 4-star Palace Hotel in Sinaia, which includes 3 nights accommodation and a festive dinner, costs from 1932 lei per person.
Another important Christmas tourist attraction is the Albota tourist complex, where the famous trout farm is located. For 3 nights with all inclusive services, a tourist will pay between 1600 and 1950 lei. Also for Christmas, the Guest Houses of Count Kalnoky from Micloșoara are more and more sought after. For 390 euros per person, a tourist will benefit from 3 nights accommodation in a superior room, breakfast, lunch and traditional dinner, two activities or guided tours.
One of the most expensive and exclusive Christmas offers is at Castelnor resort, located in Păltiniș resort, just 30 km from Sibiu, in an irresistible natural setting. For 3 nights accommodation, deluxe double room, the tourist package is 568 euros and includes half board, access to the spa, ski storage and free transfer to the Arena Platoș ski area.
The most expensive offer for New Year’s Eve is at the 4-star Alpin Hotel in Poiana Brasov, where, for 4 nights, a tourist will pay between 875 euros for a seat in a standard double room and 1235 euros for a seat in a deluxe double room and a premium tourist package . The tour package includes breakfast, themed dinners (each night is dedicated to a city such as New York, Las Vegas, Monaco and Dubai), international brunch, live music and famous artists, a program of games and creative activities for children, fruit set and chocolate and a bottle of champagne in the room on arrival.
According to DAL Travel consultants, more and more tourists are opting for quality tourist packages, preferring areas in nature, in mountainous or hilly regions, with fresh air. Interest in active tourism is also growing.
