The Raiffeisen Bank International Group has appointed Zdenek Romanek as General Manager of Raiffeisen Bank Romania, following an international selection process, it is specified in a communiqué sent on Friday by Raiffeisen Bank Romania.
Zdenek Romanek will join the Raiffeisen Bank team starting with February 1, 2022 and will take over the mandate after the approval by the National Bank of Romania.
The current president and general manager of Raiffeisen Bank Romania, Steven van Groningen, a famous #resist protester, will thus end his 20-year term and will be the one to ensure the management of the bank during the transition period.
Zdenek Romanek is a banker with over 20 years of experience in financial services (banking, insurance, investment) and management consulting, with a wide international exposure, both in Central and Eastern Europe and in Western Europe, USA. or Asia (Singapore and Hong Kong).
