UniCredit Bank accelerates financing for companies through the IMM Invest Romania program, 2021 edition, by increasing the ceiling allocated by the amount of 464 million lei, thus reaching a total of 1.78 billion lei, the bank announced on Friday, according to agerpres .
According to the quoted source, UniCredit Bank received from the Ministry of Finance an additional 464 million lei of the existing credit guarantee ceiling for small and medium enterprises and small enterprises with medium market capitalization through the SME Invest Romania program, 2021 edition.
The bank’s representatives claim that the supplementation of the guarantee ceiling up to the value of 1.78 billion lei comes in the context in which UniCredit Bank has used for the most part, so far, the ceiling of over 1.316 billion lei initially allocated through the program. , using its own funds and state guarantees to finance the real economy and offering support to a wide range of Romanian companies affected by the pandemic.
“With the support of UniCredit Bank, more than 1,600 companies have benefited from the guarantees of the SME Invest program. Among the sectors that received funding under the program are: trade (46%), consumer products and services (18%), construction (10%) , transport and storage (8%), agriculture, forestry and fishing (7%), as well as companies operating in the health and IT sectors “, the communiqué states.
The Romanian State, through the Ministry of Finance, represented by the National Credit Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (FNGCIMM), guarantees in proportion of 80%, respectively 90% of the value of loans granted for financing SMEs, depending on the category in which falls under the beneficiary of the program.
In the 2021 edition, an important component of the SME Invest program is represented by the Agro SME Invest Subprogramme, which supports eligible enterprises in the field of agriculture, fisheries, aquaculture and the food sector. In addition, in 2021 the program addresses small and medium-sized enterprises, with new areas eligible for funding being added, such as the manufacture of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
