On Thursday, September 28th, Waters Corporation will officially inaugurate its Romanian software development center, a new facility employing more than 160 software engineers, application support staff, product owners and support professionals. Waters CEO Chris O’Connell will address employees, contractors, academic and community leaders at an opening ceremony scheduled for 1:00 p.m. BST.
The new 3,500 m² site houses the largest contingent of Waters software engineers outside of the company’s headquarters in the USA. Brasov employees create state-of-the-art enterprise software applications that benefit new and existing customers who work in various academic, government, and corporate laboratories around the world.
The company’s world-class software products – Empower, MassLynx, NuGenesis, and UNIFI – are primarily used by drug manufacturers to manage liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry test data at all stages of the product lifecycle – discovery, development, and manufacture – to meet the highest standards of efficacy, Product safety and quality.
The members of the Waters Brasov team have knowledge of C # through C ++, Java, Linux, Mobile and AWS so that Waters products always stay on top of customer demand.
