Dedeman, the largest Romanian entrepreneurial company by turnover, is on the first place in the top of profits in the region of South-Eastern Europe, with a net profit of almost 300 million euros in 2020, shows the EEA Top 100 ranking, achieved by SeeNews, a business news provider based in Sofia.
The first four positions in the top of the earnings are occupied by Romanian companies. Thus, Hidroelectrica is on the second place, with a profit of 298.1 million euros, OMV Petrom on the third position, with 283.7 million euros profit last year, and Romgaz on the fourth place, with a profit of 262.6 thousand euros. The fifth position is occupied by the Slovenian group Krka, active in the pharma industry.
The EEA area includes the countries of south-eastern Europe, ie Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, the Republic of Moldova and Slovenia.
Dedeman reported for 2020 a turnover of 9.1 billion lei (approximately 1.8 billion euros), increasing by 10.5% compared to 2019, the company from Bacău being, in fact, a prominent leader in the top to the largest Romanian entrepreneurial companies. However, the company’s profit rose even stronger, by 28% in 2020 compared to 2019, to 1.64 billion lei. Dedeman’s net profit margin in 2020 was 18%.
