BUCHAREST (Romania), February 15 (SeeNews) – The French hospitality group Accor announced on Monday that it would redesign the Cubix Hotel in Brasov, central Romania, by the end of this year.
Accor has signed a franchise agreement with local company N&C Turism, which owns the hotel, according to a press release.
The hotel will be renovated and reopened under the Mercure brand.
“This partnership with Accor marks an important point in the development of our company,” said Daniel Chivu, co-owner of N&C Turism.
Accor is a French multinational hospitality company that owns, manages and sells over 5,000 hotels, resorts and vacation properties in 110 countries. Accor currently operates fifteen hotels in Romania under the brands ibis, Mercure, Pullman and Novotel, according to information on its website.
In July 2020, the group announced that it intends to open up to 50 hotels under multiple brands in Romania in the coming years and is actively looking for opportunities in the market.
