The president of the Suceava County Council, Gheorghe Flutur, announced on Thursday, October 14, that several natural gas distribution projects on the territory of Suceava County were admitted as eligible.
The respective projects had been submitted for financing within the Large Infrastructure Operational Program POIM (2014-2020) on the development of intelligent natural gas distribution networks in Romanian localities. Their eligibility was established by the evaluation commission from the Ministry of Investments and European Funds during the administrative verification stage.
Suceava County submitted to the Ministry of European Investments and Projects 14 financing applications for 38 ATUs. This is because some of the applications were submitted by Intercommunity Development Associations, which included at least two ATUs.
“Until this date, 4 projects worth over 80 million euros have been admitted as eligible, including the localities of Liteni, Salcea, Solca, Milișăuți Adâncata, Arbore, Burla, Fundu Moldovei, Hănțești, Iaslovăț, Fântânele, Pojorâta, Udești and Verești. Also, 4 other projects worth approximately 70 million euros are being evaluated for the localities of Botoșana, Cajvana, Comănești, Cacica, Dărmănești, Pârteștii de Jos, Frumosu, Vama, Vatra Moldoviței, Volovăț and Zvoriștea ”, said Gheorghe Flutur.
The head of the Suceava county administration also said that the localities of Dolhasca, Vicovu de Sus, Baia, Bilca, Bălăceana, Bunești, Coșna, Calafindești, Dorna Arini, Dorna Candrenilor, Dolhești, Dornești, Dumbrăveni, Frătăuții are expected to submit applications for financing soon. Vechi, Frătăuții Noi, Ilișești, Horodniceni, Horodnic de Sus, Marginea, Mușenița, Mănăstirea Humorului, Mitocu Dragomirnei, Poiana Stampei, Stroiești, Șerbăuți, Satu Mare, Șaru Dornei, Grămești, Grănicești, Vadu Moldovei, Vicovști and Vicovști .
