The Mumbai-listed auto parts manufacturer Sandhar Technologies with branches in Spain, Poland and Mexico will invest 25 million euros in a production facility in the Prejmer industrial park in the Brasov district (central Romania).
The investment will create 125 jobs, according to local authorities who have confirmed the project. The company will develop the system later this year.
“The aim of the investors is for the Prejmer plant to supply at least one component for 30% of all cars produced in Europe after the first year of operation. We thanked investors for choosing Brasov County and we assured them that we are open to support any initiative to create jobs and harness the human and material potential we have at the county level ” said the president of Brasov County Council (CJ) Adrian Vestea, quoted by Profit.ro.
According to him, the investors are planning to build the factory in the Prejmer industrial park on a 7,000 m² site consisting of production halls, warehouses and offices. Investors want to make the investment by the end of this year and start production in 2022, said the president of the Brasov County Council.
