Accor, the world’s leading hospitality group, is further expanding its portfolio in Romania. The group has signed a management contract with the Kronstadt Hotel to open a brand new ibis Styles hotel in Brasov. Located in the heart of Romania, the hotel will be the 6th to open under the brand in the country and will welcome its first guests in early 2024.
The ibis Styles Brasov will have 126 rooms, a restaurant on the ground floor with a bar and an outdoor terrace for hotel guests. A modern and modular conference center of almost 400 m² will host various events. A fitness room will also be available to guests. The hotel will be part of a mixed-use project with residential buildings and multiple retail and service spaces on the ground floor, providing guests with convenience and accessibility.
The hotel is located on Cristianului Street in the immediate vicinity of the future Polyvalent Hall Brasov – a multifunctional hall for indoor sporting events, concerts, congresses and other cultural events to be inaugurated in 2024-2025. The location will be easily accessible by plane due to its proximity to the future Brasov International Airport, which is less than 10 km away, but also by car via the DN1 from Bucharest and Sibiu.
The hotel is scheduled to open in early 2024, just in time for the inauguration of the new Polyvalent Hall in Brasov. The hotel is operated by the Accor Group under a management contract.
“The introduction of an ibis Styles to Brasov – one of our most dynamic, modern and design-oriented brands – is excellent news, both for the group and for the city. We have great confidence in the project as it allows travelers to fit into the local lifestyle of a young community and feel the atmosphere of a fast-paced and creative city. With the expansion of the ski area, the opening of the airport and the diversification of cultural life with the opening of the new Polyvalent Hall, Brasov has a great opportunity to increase its attractiveness and become the capital of winter sports and Romanian tourism. ”Says CaTalina ROS.U – Accor
Development Director Romania, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova and the Czech Republic.
“The addition of a hospitality component to our mixed-use project in Brasov is a big plus for the region, as it brings vitality, makes it more open and inviting. Ibis Styles is a great brand for us. It enables us to take up a topic and build a bold and creative design on it to show our guests and the community what we value. In addition, the partnership with Accor guarantees professional and equally passionate hotel services that take care of the guest as well as the community and the environment. Local and international guests have the certainty of encountering the same warm and detail-oriented service culture as in any other unit from the network, but with a locally inspired design and a unique story that can hardly wait to be discovered, ”says der Representative of the investing company, Kronstadt Hotel
