The Plitvice and Krka national parks have astounding protected waterfalls for tourists to marvel at and visitors can even bathe in the Krka waters.
Croatia has received praise from the European Travel Commission for its tourism work during the pandemic.
The President of the Commission, Luís Araújo, said: “ I notice better and better tourism trends, tourism is recovering, but we still have to reach the results from 2019, which was a record year for many European countries. We exchanged our experiences and knowledge, and Croatia is a great example of how to react in these circumstances.”
Croatia has said it already has 77 percent of the number of tourists it had in 2019 and expects to recover further in the winter months.
